Hair Piece

Lately, my color crush has been ORANGE.  I love it oh so much.  So I made this to wear with my favorite orange shirt.  It doesn't sit as nice in my hair as I would like it to though.  I'm still brainstorming solutions for that one. 

Fan Necklace

I really like pretty fans, so I totally love this necklace that I made.  I really should take pictures of me wearing some of this stuff though, so you can get the full effect. 

Scrapbook Page

I realized that I never showcased the page I made from our little photo shoot at Lucy Park.  Simple, but I really like how it turned out.  I am OBSESSED with that cloud paper.  Oh man, I want to use it on everything.  I love happy scraps of paper. 

Anniversary Banner

I finally figured out how to cut fabric using the cricket, so I used it to cut out the words.  I just free-styled the pennants.  It was a simple touch, but I like the effect a lot.  The two pillars that separate our living room from the dining room worked perfectly to hang it up.  Holy cow, I cannot believe I have been married two whole years. 

Happy Birthday to Me!

I plan on spending the whole day crafting!  Well, except for a few hours set aside for a big fat nap.  Hopefully I'll have tons of fun stuff to post on here tomorrow!

I just had to pop in to tell you that I HAVE been super crafty/busy these past couple of weeks, but I have been working on one big fat project. But I wanted to leave this post so when I look back on my blog I won't have some big unexplainable hole. I am just weird like that, I like every day to be accounted for. To be honest I may not post on here for another few days. But, I'll be back. Promise.

Frolicking

There is a gorgeous field full of wildflowers that I have been longing to take pictures in for a while now. Finally, today, we did!

Swinging and Singing

This is kind of corny. But today for my creative moment I went to the park with Lizzy. We romped around and sat on the swings. It was such a beautiful day that I couldn't help but feel perfectly content as I sat there swinging, listening to the wind and birds. My favorite primary song came to my mind, "Heavenly Father Loves Me." I love that song so much, so I wrote a third verse to myself while swinging and waiting for Spencer to be done with work. I'm not a songwriter (obviously) but it is healing to the soul to pause and look around you and recognize the beautiful world Heavenly Father has created just for you.

He gave me the sun to light up my day, the moon to watch over my night
He game me a family that's mine to keep, forever if I but choose right
He hears all my prayers when I kneel by my bed, He shares in my sorrow and glee
When I look around me and see all I have, I just know Heavenly Father Loves me

Sculpted Hedgehog

This isn't the best picture of him, (I just snapped it quickly before dashing off to work) but here is a little hedgehog baby that I made. I think he needs a girlfriend.

Hair Bows

My sister, Shari, sent me a picture of the above bows. She found them online. I thought they were SO CUTE, so I made my own version. I can't wait to show her!

Here is the poster I made today for the class I am teaching at Hobby Lobby on April 23. I am so excited!

Lucy Park

I just wanted to share a couple of shots from my photo appointment on this morning. These two were too precious! It was so fun to do a photo shoot with them. It was a little cold for a spring day, but these two were such good sports! Completely adorable!

How Many Easter Eggs Can You Find?

For some reason, I have the strange urge to wish you a "Hoppy Easter" when I look at these two bunnies. Of course I would never do that because I loathe cheesy puns like that. Nevertheless, I hope your Easter is lovely.

Another Necklace

Sometimes, I'm not very good at coming up with creative post titles (ironic, I know). But I wanted to post this necklace that I made anyways. I actually made the flowers forever ago, but recently attached them to some pretty lace to wear as a necklace. I'll have to post a picture of me wearing it. I think it turned out beautifully. Maybe I'll have to teach another class at Hobby Lobby on how to make this one.
